ABOUT BCNSOUND
Bcnsound is a studio run by Simon Smith, providing original composition, music production, recording and audio pre and post-production services for film makers, recording artists and brands.
In 2021 Bcnsound moved to new premises, a boutique central Barcelona composing studio within Project Reborn, a creative office in the heart of Born. Designed by renowned American studio designer John Brandt, the room has been built for first class acoustics and comfort.

SIMON SMITH
A producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Scotland, Simon has worked as a professional musician and independent producer since 1995, first in London and now in Barcelona since 2002.
After studying piano, gaining a Masters in composition, he cut his teeth in London releasing records under the name of Odd Toot with Hydrogen Dukebox Records and working as a session drummer and programmer with James Hardway amongst others, touring internationally to Europe and the USA.
After moving to Barcelona, in the last few years Simon has built up Bcnsound to concentrate on composing and music production for other artists and original music for media, brands, film and TV, including several award winning and chart topping feature films with director Maria Ripoll.
